Point of Grace

I love Christmas music and I adore these girls, so getting to see their Winter Wonderland concert is top of my list. We are going to the concert this weekend and I can hardly wait! I've known them for many years; we were friends at Ouachita Baptist University. It's always a treat to see them. If you don't know their music ya gotta go to their web site: pointofgrace.net
They have a new CD and a new Christmas CD as well.

This is Scott Krippayne with them. Ronnie Freeman will be there this weekend. I'm so excited!

We're BIG fans of Point of Grace at our house! And we're also fans of Ronnie Freeman! He came to our old church (in my hometown) and my son drew a photo of him while he was singing and gave it to him afterwards. :)

I've sung a lot of their songs at church. Love that last one they did ... "How You Live." I'm sure the Christmas one is awesome.

Hi fellow Michigander! I saw you on Covered Porches... and there are so few bloggers in Michigan I had to say hello! I have yet to find someone in my area - in the southwest corner, in St. Joseph. Would dearly love to find a blogger who lives nearby! I love to spend hours reading blogs, but don't write in mine too often, oh well....

I also noticed all your lovely arbors in your garden - don't you have a squared off one, and a rounded top one? I also love to garden, and a few years ago my hubby made me an arbor and I just love it! We have an old farmhouse, and I am always wondering if I should get a picket fence to put on either side of the arbor. But it seems like they just don't make picket fences to look like they used to look these days.

And will also have to listen to Points of Grace - I must say I don't listen to a lot of music - but I do love Christmas music!

So anyway - hello from "southern" Michigan - hugs Diane

Goodness, I'm forgetful - or distracted - this morning. No, I haven't heard of MOPS, I don't think. Do I just google it or is there some info you can hit me with to find it??? I'll go try googling it now...

Hey, looks like you are really enjoying the Christmas season.

About the brittle...make sure you are using a 9x13 pan is all I can think of...it is a little sticky but not too much.

What I meant to say, but I kept forgeting to come back over, is that I did Samaritan's Purse one year too (like Operation Christmas child), but now I just write them a check. It was stressful for me trying to fit so much into a little shoebox when I wanted to send them one the size of a rubbermaid container (I've never been good at following the rules!) To your ?, yes, I love living in NC. My husband took severance in 2006, and we had to leave the Raleigh area (where I lived until that point) to move down near Columbia, but we were only there for 1 year...he wanted to be back in ACC country. I liked living there better than where I'm at now for several reasons, so if it were me moving here, I'd move to the Raleigh area a/k/a the Triangle (which includes several cities). We moved where we're at now b/c of the schools, and we're facing re-districting, but that was a constant in Wake Co. because so many people do move there. It's very diverse with people from all over...a typical subdivision has many different states/countries represented. Same is true here, but it's mostly people from FL, CA or NY/NJ. I'd rather be in Charlotte. Now, I need to go check out your link...I'm afraid I can see another Christmas CD in my future! Enjoy the concert!

P.S. I think TN Christmas is one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs. That, and the Carpenter's song, Merry Christmas Darling. Those songs get me sooo in the mood. :)

What fun. I bet you had a great time. Seeing you talk about how you were college friends made me say a quick prayer about our oldest who will be heading off next year to college. I pray she makes good friends.

The last concert we went to was to see Alan Jackson and we left early to get home. That's what old people do to beat the traffic...hee heee

I hope you guys have a great time at the concert. You asked on my blog about "Blink". It's a very good book, but I think it might be a little much for a 13 year old because of the subject matter. I asked my 17 year old who read it and she feels the same.

I think the first time I saw them was at a Woman of Faith convention a while back and I have really enjoyed thier music ever since. I also stood in a monster of a line to have them sign a CD for my daughter...then left the CD under my seat at the convention and forgot it!...ugh!
