On our way to a B & B

Here we are last year at our favorite local tea house. I sadly say, it closed this January. The economy up here is a tough one. However, Sissy and I have fond memories of this tea house. She loved sitting by this window...you could see the flower garden from there. It was a beautiful old home remodeled into a tea house.
~~~~~
Sissy and I are headed to a B & B this week! Yep, just the girls...how fun it will be to have this time together.
~~~~~
My give away now closes on Friday night, the 10th. Sissy will draw a name on Sat. morning. (sorry to be so old school, you know, little slips of paper) She told me she wanted to choose the winner. If you want to enter, leave a comment on my last post. I'm off to Amish Country for some of that homemade pie, shopping and to sit a spell with Sissy and a cup of tea.

I just love that picture in the tea house. It is so sad that little businesses have to close there are so few like that around. I always thought it would be great to own and run one. I use having a tea time with my children to teach table manners and I will use this with my grandchildren too. I just think it is a lost culture in the USA.
I haven't read yet but do you live in PA? I wish I lived near or in Amish country. What wonderful loving people they are. I am from PA originally.
Okay I need to go read more on your blog. Enjoying all I have read and seen so far.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you will come back soon. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

I am so sad to hear of the cute tea house closing. I have seen so many little businesses get shut down by this economy.

Have fun in Amish country! I wish I could jump in your suitcase - sounds fun!

It looked like it was a lovely tea room. The tea room in our town closed last year. Enjoy your trip to the B&B.

That is so sweet, you both spend time with each other. I love drinking tea too. I have a favorite restaurant up here, its because their tea is good, actually, few days ago I was thinking about them and hoping they won't close.
I love the picture.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog :)

That's so upsetting about the B&B. More and more tragedies are happening because of the economy and it's just so... sad.

I'm back in the blog world...and happily sipping my coffee this morning. Lent was a wonderful 'break' from technology...I missed my coffee and chocolate, but found 3 new flavors of tea I love. I do believe I will 'fast' more often...the rewards are countless.

Thank you for stopping by! Love to connect with other AR gals - even if they have been transplanted! Loved your list of things to celebrate! Jealous that someone else did your laundry. I'm going to make a sign for my laundry room with Col 3:23 -ha!
