A Winner and Sunshine

The winner of my little 50th post give-a-way is......Cherie at Bakow Babble ! Y'all hop on over to her blog and sit a spell. Just click HERE.

My how time goes by...when the sun shines. I truly feel better when I've been in the sun light. We've had some sunshine this week in Michigan. Up here in MI sunshine is scarce, especially in the winter. This photo was taken when I lived in Colorado. There are 302 days of sun in Colorado a year...last I checked MI has 74. The lack of sunny days and blue skies has been the hardest thing to adjust to living here. One Michigander told me..."You can't see all that house dust when it's cloudy, but when the sun comes out that dust is every where!" I think of her when the sun does come out and I see dust covering my cherry furniture...and I smile.

Glad you're back! What a wonderful picture! We had horrible thundertorms this past weekend, complete with hail and flooding. So, the gorgeous, sunny 80 degree weather today was SUPER! Here's hoping you get lotes of sunshine SOON and it stays a while!

I did not know that about Michigan! Here in NC it seems as if the sun shines all the time. Not too good for a 3rd shift worker like me. That is a beautiful picture!!

Congrats to the winner of your giveaway!

Welcome back! I hope your B&B adventure was wonderful and you had precious quality time with your daughter.

Congratulations to Cherie on her win!

I am so happy you finally got some sunshine. Although I live in TN, sunshine has been a somewhat rare commodity over the past several days. Like you, we finally got some today. Thank you Lord Jesus! It was worth having to look at the dust! :)

Many hugs.............

I definitely think I could live in Colorado...one of the prettiest places I've ever been, hands down! Just not sure about the snow...I'm more of a warm weather kind of gal. Beautiful picture you posted!

I'm so glad you are getting a little sunshine. Isn't it amazing how differently you feel the minute it comes out? Turn all your lights on and keep your chin up!

Perspective is everything. My brother and his family moved to Denver a couple of years ago and he hates it there. He said it is always sunny and he needs some days of clouds and rain. And here I am like you, in Michigan and I hate it, because I crave the sunshine. Summer is not to far away and as you know, summers in Michigan are beautiful. Welcome back.

Welcome back. Love that picture!! Ohio must be a little better than Michigan. We have lots of sunshine, but it can be 70 one day and in the 30's the next. They say in Ohio, if you don't like the weather just stick around a few minutes, it'll change!! lol

I love the photo and Colorado is really beautiful. I have heard that Michigan is too. I love the rain and gloomy skies but I live in Nevada, the driest state in the Union.

Now I know why I LOVE Colorado! I am sure Indiana is close to Michigan as far as sunny days!

I can SO relate to needing sunshine daily!! We live in Idaho and the winter months are LONG and we can go for days without seeing any "blue sky" or actual "sunshine".

I had a gratitude post during February about how the sunrises and sunsets FEED MY SOUL and shine light over the winter sky where sometimes the sky and ground are the same color of grey.

Cherie is AWESOME and I'm so glad she won your "giveaway'!

I feel the same way you do about having some sunshine on me! It really does revive me.

Your friend did come by and I left a comment on her blog... I went to her blog yesterday and she wasn't there? I think she is journaling somewhere else? I left her a note that I'd like to tag a long on her new site. Thanks for sending her...was fun seeing someone from my neck of the woods.

Have a wonderful week =O)
