He's gett'n big

Our 3 pound puppy is not so tiny anymore! We were told he would be between 6 & 8 pounds. Well, he's 5 months old and weighs 8.5 already! I think he's taking after his poodle mama. Yes, he is a Yorkipoo, not just a Yorkie.
I was asked what we named him. Oh my, that took days...it's serious business y'all. Thinking that Yorkies are from the UK I thought an English or Irish name would be fitting, such as: Oliver, Murphy, Brody, Monty, Conley, Brady, Tanner...y'all get the idea. Then we talked about names because he's little: (mini) Cooper or Tim bit/Timmy (OH Canada!) from Tim Hortons which we loved in Michigan. His original nickname is Little Bit, which we still call him from time to time. Sissy liked Toby. SO many names. Funny thing, I had a ton more picked out, but they were all GIRL names thinking we'd be getting a female puppy. God had this little fella hand picked for us and he suits us just fine.
OH...his name?

We were on our way to the park and Little Man had him ready to go. I thought it was precious how he wanted BENJI to be buckled up just like he was. I took his picture and then explained why keeping Benji this way was not a good idea. Benji sat right between the kids the entire drive...an entire 12 minutes. What a good boy! I think he's gonna be a good little traveler. (Yep, the kids choose Benji...then weeks later they realized it was the same name of a dog in a movie. Funny, to me Benji and dog are synonymous.)

Hi there, What a cutie pie Benji is and I love the name because I used to have a dog that looked just like the Benji in the movie. Our next dog will have poodle in it-good for keeping the fur at bay. Love how much your son loves him.
Have a blessed week.

What a little cutie! My Mom and Dad had three little dogs. One was a Yorkie and her name was "Little Bit"! She was the cutest and the smartest little sweetie. All are gone now including my parents but the memories are still there.

Cute puppy or dog!! Bethany has Maltese and a Yorkie. the Maltese weighs about 10 pounds and the yorkie weighs about 4 pounds. The children LOVE having these little fellows in the house! I have never seen a dog so attached to a girl as the maltese is to Bethany. he sits in her lap at the computer, he looks and longs out the window when she is outside. Dogs are fun!!! We also have 3 dogs outside....ugh!!!

Hey Shelley,
we have 10 families as of now coming to our fellowship. We do rotate from our house to a conference room at a hotel. Some families drive 1-1 1/2 to come to either place. Its hard to get everyone there, so many children and sickness at times, hopefully when warmer temps get here, the colds will be few.

Oh, I so wish you could help me paint!!

I loved Mt. Dora! Stayed at the Farnsworth Inn on 5th Avenue. You must go to the Windsor Rose Tearoom--awesome tea and food! I also dined at Pices Rising and One Flight Up and Goblin Market. I'll definitely come back again!

What a CUTE dog, and I think the name fits perfectly! :-)

I'm so glad you came over to visit my blog, Shelley, and I'm glad that you've moved to Florida. And yes, Florida is the South, Tallahassee being the only southern capital that didn't fall during the Civil War. ;-) It's just that the futher south you travel, the further north you go. LOL!

Hoping to meet you some time!

XO,

Sheila :-)
