A Kentucky B & B

Do you see the "quilt" on the barn? Many barns in the area have quilts painted on them. You can take a driving tour to see them. I love quilts, so this was fun to see.
Here, Sissy is taking her last trip inside the home...she loved this place and the owners as well. They truly made us feel as if we were visiting family.

I love homes built like this. My parents home in North Carolina has a similar layout with a wrap around porch.

I miss historical places. Washington was born yesterday practically.

I love homes like this! It's so different than what I see in Phoenix. It would be so much fun to spend a weekend in a place like this.

What a beautiful place to stay. Do you have any pictures inside? I love all the varied housestyles I see in the US they are much more interesting than what we have over here. If I were to draw a picture of my dream home it would look something like that.
I love the quilts painted on the building too. I would enjoy the tour too.

Thanks for visting me and commenting. What a delight my visit has been...even had a question answered on one of your earlier post...I wondered if you had converted many Michiganers to "sweet tea".
Being from Texas, we had sweet tea, but not nearly as sweet as in Georgia.
What a great house...I can see why you daughter loved the home so much.

How neat! I've never seen a quilt pattern painted on the barn like that. I love it! My hubby would really like it - he spent summers on his grandma's farm growing up & he longs for a place like that again. :) So glad you had a great time!

We can only name so many children after yours. We ALMOST named her Reagan Allison as it is - and switched to Reagan Abigail for that reason.

Apparently, she channels your Emily anyway and takes after her. Come to think of it, she does remind me an awful lot of Emily who was the same age when I met you!

This sounds like a fun trip. I love porches. My favorite thing is to sit in the rocking chair my family bought me for Mother's Day last year, with a cup of tea.
