Trying to Spring it up

I love my old Pie Safe and love putting Spring items on top even more! I enjoyed looking at this as I lay sick on the front room sofa this week. Why yes, that is a tea chest in the middle!

I have seen birds flying in with twigs and bits and lots of chatter coming from way up there. That says Spring to me...even though my trees are still bare.

It was a warm day in the low 50's here, I just had to get outside. Since I've been so sick, I've been cooped up in doors for days on end. Doesn't this cardinal look cold ? We truly had a frigged winter...bless his little heart...I'm sure he loves our warmer weather!
My front porch does NOT look like this today, but I hear some of this is on the way...after all it is still March up north. However, our neighborhood lake is no longer frozen! That alone says Spring to me, even if my Tulips are only 2 inches out of the soil. My sweet Hubby got me lots of pink and yellow cut Tulips to cheer me...it worked!

I love your pie safe...what a gorgeous piece of furniture! Yes, that poor cardinal does look cold! We've had temps in the 70's around here...my daylillies are starting to pop out of the ground. Of course, they're predicting heavy rain all weekend long!

Hope you thaw out soon!

Gorgeous pie safe! We're having snow flurries as I type--- It is still winter in the U.P. I keep telling myself it is a permission slip to be sewing inside without guilt, But I do so want to be outside in the garden. Have a great weekend.

That's a gorgeous pie safe, and I love the old student's desk in that room, too. Such a sunny spot. And, I'm seeing lots of spring's signs, and I sit at the computer and type this, I can hear the birds singing happily, so they know it's on its way, too! YAY!
Glad you're feeling better!

I love your pie safe, it looks so nice with all the spring things on it. Hope you are all feeling better. We are recovering from a virus or two as well. But Spring is here and it won't be long until we can open up windows and let the fresh air in.

You are such a sweet lady and I am SO glad you stopped by my Blog this week!

You are so kind with your words to other people and you truly "lift us up" with the kind things you say.

I hope you have a wonderful "Healthy" week and that you are all back feeling good as new real soon.

Where we live we don't have cardinals (that I've actually seen). That is just beautiful.

I am ready for spring as well....we have had snow off and on all week and I can't wait until the weather is like the top photo of your kids enjoying the yard last year.

Have a wonderful day!
