Spring up north?

Spring up north is really hard for a Southern girl like me. I talked to my mama today and she told me that even the Saucer Magnolias were blooming. Sigh...it felt like Spring today in MI. We had extremely unseasonable temps today in the low 60's! My huge snow piles are melting and I am itching for spring time after this frigid winter. Then reality hits...and hits hard...the photos below are from April of 08. It's only early March. BUT...funny that I posted pictures of the ducks the other day...Sissy tells me today that they were in our yard this morning! I truly think we will have an early Spring! Aw, go ahead and call it Southern girl wishful thinkin' after all, it is MI and will be in the 30's next week...a Southern girl can dream, right?
Do you see Maggie under the Yew? I said...smile Maggie and she did her best to grin.
Notice the tulips behind the ducks...not even thinking about starting to bloom!
They are only out of the ground by 3 or 4 inches...in April. The For Get Me Nots...well, are kinda forgotten at this time of year up north.
See the dot in the street...that's Robin crossing to the neighbors, his concrete pond of choice....their pool!

However...I do have these beautiful Forsythia bushes to look forward to in April.
When they bloom, Spring is truly here...up north.

Beautiful pictures...the ducks are so sweet! I hope spring comes soon for you. It was beautiful and warm today here in the Ozarks. I am ready for winter to be over! I thought I was the only one on the computer at this time on a Friday night...we're just sitting around, eating ice-cream and watching Hogan Heros reruns. I think we're too tired to do anything else!
Warm regards,
Wendy

Lovely photos! Spring is almost here! Hang in there. It is warm, here in Arkansas...today...however, I don't think is forcasted to stay warm.

Daylight Savings will make it seem more spring like. Maybe?!

Yes, spring is on its way! It's beautiful to see all the signs that pop up here and there announcing it will be here soon "officially".

Many sweet blessings!

Gorgeous pictures! We had temps in the mid 70's here today and it was GLORIOUS! No complaints from this Southern gal! :)

I agree with Wendy, your pictures are beautiful. It's spring here in Oklahoma too. Thank goodness! Forsythias are beginning to bloom here. I spotted Hostas trying to peek out of the ground today.

Ducks have returned to our pond as well. I also saw a hawk yesterday. I believe the winters cause a more grateful appreciation of Spring. Don't you?

I love to see the yellow bell bushes blooming (we've called them that for years). Spring is springing down here in South Alabama!
