Mackinac Island part 2

Look how tiny this ship looks next to this massive barge!

We hiked up a steep hill to this rock that is well known on the island. Isn't this a great photo op location? Aside from my rained upon look...we went horse back riding earlier that day and a HUGE rain cloud decided to let go, right in the middle of our ride. To top it off, my horse was spooked by all those umbrellas!
Hubby said next time we are up here let's ride bikes around the island.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your pictures.

You know I have traveled to many, many places but I realized that I have not traveled much in your part of the country and I REALLY want to.

I love looking at your blog because you seem to go to places on my list. Mackinac Island has been on my list for a long time. So beautiful and your amish buggy below - really neat!

Thanks for sharing your travels with me! :)

HI There, I love your blog name.. I'll come and 'sit a spell' with you and we can have some hot tea (Earl Gray please)... ha

Thanks for visiting my blog. Hot Springs is a neat place.. When you visit your Mom, check out Garvin Gardens--and that chapel. Did you see my blog talking about the Anthony Chapel??? GORGEOUS!!!!

Shelley is one of my favorite blog friends. I also know Denise--but don't hear from her much.

I love your blog.. I have a friend here in Tennessee who goes to Mackinac Island in the summer. She loves it--and I can see WHY. Gorgeous!!!!

I like your Amish pictures also. Such a great, wholesome people.

Thanks again for coming to my blog. Come back anytime --and I'll come back to yours.

Hugs,
Betsy

Arch Rock, we have many pictures in front of it. No matter how many times I have visited Mac Island, I never get tired of it. Did you get to go to the little butterfly house? Great pics!!

I love Mackinac Island. We went there for a vacation a few years ago. We live in Indiana and spend a lot of vacations in Michigan. There's so much to see and do along the Great Lakes.

I want to visit there so badly! It's gorgeous!!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment recently. I love the name of your blog and find it so odd that I just wrote that saying on a bench that sits on my porch before you ever commented. Funny how things like that happen!

The house I'm in now is the one we're keeping. We had to move for my husband's job and have two mortgages. It's a tough market, so I wish you all the luck in the world if you decide to sell.

Awww!! My sister WORKS on the Island in the summers, Market Street Inn and the Butterfly House. Hubby and I got engaged there, right in front of Mission Pointe in the gazeboo. We had rode a tandem bike around the island and climbed up to Arch Rock all the in rain. Then he decides its the perfect time to propose :)

I love the Island, so beautiful!
