Mackinac Island, Michigan

If you've never been to Mackinac Island Michigan put it on your list of places to visit.
Even on a cold and windy spring day we really enjoyed ourselves. These last shots were taken from the ferry.

Isn't it great??? My brother had a friend that lived on the island so my brother took a summer job at The Grand Hotel, we visited that Summer and I fell in love!!! His friend owned a carriage with horses (a taxi) so we got the royal treatment while we were there for two weeks. Thank you for sharing the great photos, I can almost taste the fudge again. ;) I really want to vacay there as an adult, it was a wonderful place!!

Thanks for sharing these pics. My DIL is from Michigan. The only time I went there was in December. Of course, we didn't get to see much but the snow! hA!! We enjoyed that though. In MS we don't see that kind of snow.

How wonderful!!! I have visited here many times...usually stay in the Bogan Lane Inn, a bed and breakfast. Love visiting off season so there are less crowds.

Mackinac Island is one of our favorite places to visit. We go every year. We stayed at the Grand Hotel for our Honeymoon and again for our 10 anniversary. Now 32 years later we stay in bed and breakfasts. We need to start planning our visit this year. Great pics by the way!

I love this little place! I haven't been since I was a teenaged girl, but always loved it! My only anxiety was the bridge, which I also came to love. Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing them with us today.

Many hugs.........

We spent a week in Mackinaw City, with trips to Mackinac Island, etc, four years ago, next month during the Lilac Festival. It was the most wonderful time! We rented a condo. All the girls went and g'kids and newest son in law. Great vacation. We'd love to go again. We rented a condo, right on the water.

I was there once when I was a child and haven't been back. But, the UP is my favorite vacation spot. We try to go for a week every summer.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you come back soon!
