My little man catches the bus around noon. This photo is from his first day...not today...it's 27 and snowy now. Today, the driver spoke to me, (I don't know her either) "Are you going to be home today?"...yeah, I responded with a question in my voice. She said, "there's a car on the side the road around the corner, on the dirt part. It looks like someone is in there. Would you mind checking on them?" It warmed my heart to know that she knew I would help. See, I usually wave to her, the bus driver, and tell her things like...stay warm and be safe on these snowy roads. Our sub is very hilly and a bus on ice is not a good thing! I told her last week I was gonna pray for her this winter as she drove these hilly roads.
She was thankful. OK...back to the car...I straight away hopped in my minivan to see if I could help. There he sat, an older gentleman with a flat tire and no cell phone. In this time of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the kindness of others.
Ephesians 4:32a "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted"...

I liked your post and it always amazes me, it really only takes one littel spark to set the chain of events in helping others.
Thank you for stopping by. Ok I think I have an answer for ya...lets see if I can write it out for you. Go to customize at the top of your page,...then go to formatting...you will see there where it says show then there is a box you put a number in there...that tells how many posts you want on each page. make sure the box next to it is clicked on "post" page. what ever number you enter into that first box is how many of your posts show up. now at the bottom of my page I added pictures so maybe that makes mine longer? I am still kind of fumbling along myself here. I hope this helps.
This story makes me happy. It must feel good to help the man, and to know there were other people out to help him too. Have a great weekend!

So very kind of you - a very heartwarming post!
Kindness all around. All of us need to pay more attention to our fellow man. Kudos to the bus driver, and to you!
Jst pass by & wanna say HI...
What a wonderful post. So sweet. I know he was thankful that you came along. I found you by way of The Blessed Nest.
Love your porches!!!! Your actual physical porch and your blogging porch. You seem to have such a sweet and giving spirit that radiates through your posts. Can't wait to read more.
Girl, God knew who to put in that mans path! :)
Hi there
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Yes I will partner you in the teenage daughter chapter of our lives! If your friend is in the East London area at the moment she may be quite near the country park shown in my post called An Autumnal Walk in the Country. I have enjoyed reading your blog too. Your house is beautiful. I dream of living in a white house like that with a porch. Your dog looks very comfy lazing there with the pumpkins. I loved the snowy picture. It is very cold here and some parts of England have a little snow. I hope you do get to visit England one day but come in the summer months. November - February are very cold, dark and miserable months.
I am glad you stopped by. I am so happy to have made a friend in Michigan.

Like paying it forward, only better. I'm sure that gentleman was so thankful that you came to check on him. What a wonderful way to start off the week of Thanksgiving.
Thanks for coming by my henhouse!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. It looks like you and I need to trade places! It's hard when you miss "home". I see you've got snow! I sure miss the snow! It's nice to meet another blogger from AR!
Very sweet post.
I am glad that you were available to help that man in need.
I love the snow but I am not ready yet!
Oh thank goodness you went over there. You just never know who might need a little help.
Love that! Thank goodness for kind hearted people like you and that bus driver. I like your blog a lot so far. I'd better go so I can read on.
This story made my heart melt! How sweet of the bus driver to notice! I love older people! They are filled with so many stories to share. It makes me sad that so many of them are lonely. Thank you for going to help : ). You are a super hero with a mini van : ).
